Kitchen steward on River cruise ships (m) - Season 2027

Responsibilities

• - Cleaning of galley areas, floors, work surfaces and kitchen equipment
• - Operation of dishwashing and pot-washing equipment
• - Washing and proper storage of dishes, utensils, pots and pans
• - Waste handling and separation
• - Basic support of galley operations when required
• - Safe use of professional cleaning chemicals
• - Compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards

Requirements

• - English — minimum confident basic level
• - Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in kitchen stewarding, dishwashing or galley support
• - Previous experience in hotels, restaurants, catering or cruise operations
• - Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment and professional cleaning products
• - Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation procedures
• - Good physical condition and ability to perform repetitive cleaning and lifting duties
• - Reliable, disciplined and able to work effectively in a busy galley environment
