Sound Technicians for Cruise Contracts starting 2027

PEEL Talent are seeking Sound Technicians to join our Award Winning Entertainment Teams on-board our international Cruise ships.

Food, accommodation, flight tickets are covered by the company.

Sound Specialists
Operate sound for all main production shows, rehearsals and various other forms of entertainment, carrying out all required checks, and liaising with artistes to discuss their specific requirements. Competent in using Soundcraft Digital Desks, operating and programming Qlab Show Control. Live mixing duties will include at least 10 vocalists with track, live bands and click track, along with maintenance of sound equipment; soldering skills desirable.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Preferably a technical qualification
• Preferably experience working either on a cruise ship or theatre production
• Experience working with equipment such as, Soundcraft Digital Desks, operating and programming Qlab Show Control.
• Basic troubleshooting and quality control
• Operating, setting up sound equipment and general maintenance
• Experience in technical stage set ups and pack downs.
• Operating sound for shows from pre-designed production books.
• Ensuring the correct usage and storage of technical and staging resources, reporting any faults, damage and/or replacement requirements to the Production Manager
• Must be able to work well with others. You will be part of our technical team alongside our entertainment production team and guest entertainers
• Must hold full STCW Training
• Knowledge and Skills
• Good level of English, reading and writing
• Knowledge of Sound desks; Soundcraft Digital Desks and/orQLab
• Previous Cruise Ship experience is desirable
• Be able to maintain technical equipment and report back to PM.
