Turner / Machinist – Large Cruise Ship

We are seeking an experienced Turner / Machinist to join a large cruise ship currently undergoing an extensive maintenance and refurbishment project in Belfast.

• Contract Duration: 8 months
• Required Documents: Valid C1/D visa and ILO 98 Seaman’s Book

Role Overview

The successful candidate will support the vessel’s Engineering Department with machining, fabrication, repair and refurbishment work during the vessel’s ongoing project programme.

The role will involve producing and repairing mechanical components, carrying out precision machining work and supporting general engineering maintenance as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Turner, Machinist or similar marine engineering role
• Strong experience operating lathes, milling machines and other workshop machinery
• Ability to manufacture and repair mechanical components to required tolerances
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and measurements
• Strong practical mechanical and fabrication skills
• Previous shipboard experience
• Valid STCW certification
• Valid C1/D visa
• ILO 98-compliant Seaman’s Book
• Available to join at short notice

Previous experience onboard large cruise ships would be advantageous.
