Bosun

The Bosun (or Boatswain) is the highest-ranking rating in the Deck Department and serves as the foreman for all Deck crew, including Able Seamen and Ordinary Seamen. They report directly to the Chief Officer and are responsible for organizing, supervising, and participating in all maintenance work on the hull, rigging, and deck areas. The Bosun ensures the efficient execution of tasks like mooring, anchoring, and fire and safety equipment readiness.
