Under the supervision and direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Training and Development Manager is responsible for serving as an internal business consultant with shipboard management by leading, managing, and supporting the non-technical shipboard training and development functions onboard the ship; including conducting training needs analysis; providing personal development planning and coaching; providing ongoing support and administration for the shipboard training function; and delivering instructor-led training. This position serves as a coach, mentor, consultant and ambassador of the Pullmantur Brand.

- In accordance with Pullmantur “Getting on Board” Handbook, each employee conducts oneself in a professional and courteous manner at all times. This consists of physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow shipboard employees and/or in the presence of guest contact and crew areas
- Facilitate a culture of commitment to the company’s values, standards, operating philosophies and overall business strategy
- Provide professional consultation in an effort to maintain the quality, effectiveness and consistency of training and development programs
- Support the Human Resources Division in aspects of crew activities and administration
- Conduct training and development needs assessments to identify performance gaps and implement training solutions to maximize performance in consideration of crew surveys and feedback
- Support and coach supervisors and managers in the facilitation of on-the-job and non-technical skills training including computer based classroom learning sessions
- Support and ensure the update and the maintenance of training records tracking database to ensure compliance with company and regulatory training requirements
- Work closely with Human Resource Manager in support of YGWP (You Grow With Pullmantur) process, succession planning, career paths and tracking toward the development of employees for promotional opportunities
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university or college in Training & Development, Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Arts or related field is required
- 1-3 years experience as a training and development professional
- Possess superior time management and organization skills with the ability to multitask and manage in a fast paced multicultural environment
- Excellent platform/presentation skills with the ability to conduct and follow structured training programs while consistently applying adult learning and development principles
- Advanced computer skills. Microsoft Office Proficiency Required
- All international applicants must have the ability to obtain relevant visas when applicable
- Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training
