As a member of the Global Learning and Organizational Development Team, the Learning and Development Consultant is responsible for influencing the career and professional development of our crew members. The position delivers a variety of organizational development interventions along with professional training and development programs. This role conducts needs assessments and creates vessel development plans with onboard Leadership to enhance productivity and growth.

This position serves as a coach, mentor, consultant and ambassador of the enterprise. Key stakeholders include and are not limited to land based Learning and Organizational Development Department, Regional HR Directors and Business Partners, Ship Executive Committee Members, Divisional / Departmental Leaders, Travelling HRBPs, land based Talent Acquisition and Talent Management Teams

Qualifications

  • Senior professional versed in learning and development practices, preferably in an upscale hotel, cruise line or in a large corporate organization.
  • Experience in coaching senior level Leadership
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of coaching, mentoring and performance consulting.
  • Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing personalized services including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, and guest/crew satisfaction evaluation techniques.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, and ability to facilitate in larger and small group settings.
  • Possess superior time management and organization skills with the ability to multitask and manage in a fast pace multicultural environment.
  • Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word, or related programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, related field from an accredited college, university or the international equivalent.
  • Able to live onboard ships and/or travel extensively across the world to various ships.
  • Provides ongoing coaching of high potential Building On Talent (BOT) graduates from the headquarters session once back onboard their ships
