Here at Australia’s most loved Cruise Company, we now have a requirement for a female Assistant Photo Manager, due to berthing, to join us on board in January 2017.
Our Assistant Photo Manager is responsible for assisting the Photo Manager in leading our onboard team in creating unique photo memories while achieving and exceeding financial targets.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Day to day management, coaching and leadership of the photo team
- Ensuring customer service and revenue targets are achieved
- Promptly developing effective action plans with the Photo Manager when scores fall below standard
- Respond promptly to resolve passenger requests and concerns
- Supervise team to ensure inventory management and loss prevention procedures are being adhered to
- Ensuring the photo lab (wet chemical) and all photography equipment is maintained and running optimally at all times
Along with significant studio portrait and events photography experience our ideal candidate will bring:
- People management experience and leadership skills
- Excellent command of the English language (both spoken and written)
- Budget, revenue and inventory management skills
- Strong technical knowledge of photography equipment, image processing and printing equipment (wet chemical printers)
- High customer focus and the ability to thrive in a team working environment

Contracts are for six months duration with two months leave in between assignments. The salary is competitive and equipment, accommodation, main meals and flights are supplied by the company.
Please note employees of P&O Cruises Australia are required to be at least 21 years old, possess a current unrestricted passport (valid for at least a year) and international applicants eligible to apply for an Australian Maritime Crew Visa (MCV) and Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). All crew members are required to successfully clear an ENG1 Medical before commencing onboard.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
