Product Marketing Lead

Position Summary:

The Lead is responsible for the development of marketing plans strategies and tactics associated with destination and itinerary driven marketing products to create awareness, interest, and drive demand. This role works across Marketing, Sales and Revenue Management to develop an integrated marketing plan for assigned products that specifically identify the types of customers, the needs of customers, how our product offerings meet their needs, how our products are communicated and what value the specific product holds for the consumer.

Responsibilities:

1. Works hand in hand with Revenue Management & Sales on a robust game plan that includes strategies as well as specific action items and ultimately a marketing plan for each product.

2. Is the point person and champion for Destination Marketing:
a. Partners with marketing channels to ensure the destination is front and center in our communications from when deployment opens to ongoing support of the product.
b. Partners with our Global Tour Organization on the development on new products, branded tours, segment tours and high value tours.
c. Works as the PM for all port marketing opportunities, assessing and managing the process for all joint marketing opportunities

3. Drives and champions the ongoing marketing of other revenue streams like Choice Air, Cruise Care, Packages, etc. Measures and report of the progress of these initiatives.

4. Develops strategic product plans for assigned products. Collaborates across all Marketing channels to develop an integrated product plan that drives further out bookings at higher yields.

5. Works with Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing to develop special offers to drive awareness and results against need products. Leverages consumer insight and historical performance data to develop impactful promotions that drive bookings.

6. Uses analysis and consumer data to drive strategy and create presentations highlighting differentiating or key selling points for internal and external use.



Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree required. Graduate degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years business, marketing or product management experience.
  • Knowledge of the sales process, sales organization, trade marketing, marketing channels, pricing and strategies.
  • Understanding of research information and performance metrics in relation to consumer trends, behavior and preferences 
  • Knowledge of revenue performance management and metrics and corporate revenue expectations.
  • Ability to apply strong analytical, financial, conceptual and strategic thinking to objectives and performance.
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical performance plans.
  • Ability to assemble and lead cross functional teams to develop and achieve revenue maximization strategies
