Position Summary:

The Revenue Management (RM) Department plays a key role in our efforts to stay on top of this industry. Revenue Management is responsible for maximizing cruise ticket revenue for the Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity, Azamara and Pullmantur/CDF brands. The Revenue Planning and Analysis team is responsible for forecasting ticket revenues, providing senior management with analysis summarizing business conditions, and for providing analysis that supports pricing decisions. The Senior Analyst is responsible for interpreting current and future business performance to develop the annual financial Revenue Plan as well as developing periodic Revenue Forecasts for all brands. Revenue Plan and Forecasts include Ticket Revenue, Cruise Care and Cancellation Penalty Revenue. The Senior Analyst is also expected to provide regular and ad-hoc analysis on booking trends and business conditions. This often requires complex financial modeling. They also need to effectively communicate financial information to numerous internal departments

Career Snapshot:

  • Serve as a key contributor in the development of annual revenue Plan and periodic forecasts for revenues of over $5 billion
  • Serve as subject matter expert for all net ticket revenue forecast topics
  • Work with RM Development and Systems team to develop and improve revenue tools with the goal of facilitating better decision making, reporting, and forecasting
  • Prepare numerous analyses, schedules, and presentations in preparation for the quarterly earnings calls
  • Analyses must be accurate and clearly presented in order to be used in external communications
  • Manage ancillary revenue products (CruiseCare and Cancellation penalty revenue), totaling about $100 million annually
  • Regularly prepare detailed ad-hoc statistical analyses on varied topics including business conditions, demand trends and pricing trends
  • Manage relationships with Sales, Corporate Planning, International, Air/Sea and other areas in order to ensure financial data is effectively communicated and understood
  • Continuously search for potential business improvements, revenue opportunities and efficiency gains - develop, implement and lead projects that capture such opportunities
  • Lead a team of analysts and provide ongoing support, coaching, and guidance to the team of analysts in all aspects of revenue management and financial analysis
  • Lead and manage major cross functional initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year University
  • Three or more years work experience in an analytical field
  • Demonstrated understanding of revenue management and complex economic concepts
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations required
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data
  • Familiarity with revenue management concepts and demonstrated aptitude for problem solving
  • Strong financial skills / ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data
  • Superior skills in Excel, Powerpoint, and Hyperion
  • Ability to logically structure complex quantitative analyses
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to business and technical audiences in both spoken and written formats
  • Attention to detail 
  • Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities independently on an ongoing basis

Preferences:

  • Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) or Master's degree (M. A.)
