Position Summary:

As a Junior Associate Counsel your main role will be to provide legal counsel to certain internal departments within the RCL team. You will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, drafting and approving a variety of contracts . You will provide legal support to the General Counsel and other senior attorneys in the Legal Department.

Career Snapshot:

  • Reviews, negotiates and prepares a variety of contracts, including but not limited to consulting agreements, master service agreements, facilities service agreements, hiring agent agreements, agency recruitment agreement, non-disclosure agreements, licensing agreements and hotel contracts
  • Develops, creates, improves and formalizes standard form contracts
  • Identifies and evaluates legal risks of business opportunities
  • Conducts legal research, analysis, advice and counsel supporting various business activities including interpreting state and federal laws and regulations
  • Interacts and communicates with senior management and other employees across various departments on a broad range of legal issues
  • Assists in educating and training Company employees in various legal matters and company policies

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from accredited U.S. law school
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of law firm/ in house experience after law school graduation
  • Bar membership required, Florida Bar preferred
  • Excellent drafting ability; must draft contracts, reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, including the ability to simplify technical and legal jargon
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations

Preferences:

  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
