We are currently searching for:

JOB TITLE

SLOT TECHNICIAN

MISSION

Being part of the Casino team, the Slot Technician is in charge of installing , servicing, adjusting and repairing coin-operated slot machines, currency changers, video arcade games and currency and coin-handling equipment located in the shipboard Casino. He is also responsible of preventative maintenance and routine maintenance of all Slot equipment and machines under the direction of the Head Slot Technician. The position is also in charge of maintaining and repairing signage and the computerized gym equipment.

RESPONSABILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Follow the directions and instructions given by the Head Slot Technician;
  • Follow and understand the Company’s environmental policy, rules and regulations, and apply them at all times;
  • Adjust slot machines, video games, coin-handling, card shuffling and all other machines and equipment following manufacturer's specifications;
  • Perform moves, installs, overhauls and configure slot machines as directed by the Company‘s management;
  • Assist in ensuring machine integrity when jackpots occur and at other times as requested;
  • Assist Slot attendants in verifying jackpots as needed;
  • Verify that all slot games communicate accurately with internal systems for accounting purposes;
  • Troubleshooting: research and resolve issues that arise with machines;
  • Maintain a dependable work attendance record in accordance with the established company policies;
  • Walks around the Casino to assist guests and provide general information;
  • Report to Head Slot Technician any technical deficiencies of machines.
  • Read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment, and methods and procedures in mechanical drawings;
  • Count paper and coin currency quickly and accurately;
  • Identify and shut down and remove from service all machines that malfunction and cannot be quickly repaired or that are in need of replacement parts not readily available.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient English-language speaking, reading, and writing skills;
  • Multiple language skills as required for certain ship assignments;
  • Good knowledge of Machine manufactures and types;
  • Good knowledge of Ram clear procedures;
  • Good knowledge of the Machines’ setup;
  • Good knowledge of Jackpot hand pay procedures;
  • Able to troubleshoot and identify machine`s fault;
  • Able to troubleshoot power supply, electronic components e.g. CPU Mother board backplane etc.;
  • Able to repair and maintain electronic equipment on the casino floor e.g. machine printers, bill acceptors LCD monitors etc.;
  • Time management;
  • Excellent communication;
  • Problem solving;
  • Team working.

EDUCATION

  • High School graduate.
  • Proven experience as a Slot Technician, either ashore or on board;

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
