Position Summary:

The Ecommerce Product Manager is responsible for developing strategies and leading initiatives to significantly increase digital revenue with a focus on increasing sales of our pre-cruise products. The role will monitor and analyze our transactional web applications to identify business opportunities/ inefficiencies. The role requires creativity, analysis, and flexibility, working in a fast-paced, changing environment aiming for record-setting results. The ability to report on project progress and performance to senior managers and various stakeholders throughout Celebrity will be required in order to move projects forward and secure alignment. The successful candidate is a metrics-focused business owner with a passion for technology and design.

This position reports to the Director, Ecommerce and will work closely with marketing, IT, sales, revenue management and our partner brand, Royal Caribbean.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plan to grow post-cruise purchases, aligning strategy and execution with channel-specific business objectives and unique customer needs.
  • Own and prioritize product backlog for continuous enhancements, with a test-and-learn philosophy and lean methodology.
  • Oversee and track multiple online applications and business channels in order to guarantee sound business and functional operation.
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive implementation of product category enhancements that will improve overall business results and achieve online revenue targets.
  • Implement merchandising, A/B testing, and promotions in order to increase conversion and average order value.
  • Lead multiple development projects, and work with key production resources to ensure deliverables are high quality, on time, and on budget.
  • Manages day-to-day business relationships with creative agency and teams, and other suppliers and vendors to ensure the delivery of innovative programs
  • Create reports and presentations for executive management.
  • Facilitate relationships and efforts with Hotel Ops, International, Revenue Management, and other departments critical to the success of the digital channels

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Management of budget assigned to specific projects and associated vendor costs.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience with focus on digital strategy and marketing.
  • Proven track record of successful web application implementation and project management.
  • Deep understanding of online marketing principles, including but not limited to: conversion optimization, cross- and upsell, audience segmentation, A/B testing, merchandising, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of web analytics.
  • Excellent organizational skill with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in standard office software, knowledge of Visio/Omnigraffle a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment, and autonomously as required.
  • Ability to assume cross functional roles and responsibilities when necessary.
  • Experience working in an enterprise environment that requires partnerships with both internal and external teams.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in user experience and design principles.
  • Bachelors Degree from a recognized university. MBA preferred.
  • Online retail, hotel, and/or travel industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Detailed understanding of online marketing and ecommerce, role of online in customer contact strategy as it relates to online, building customer engagement and direct sales via digital channels.
  • Experience in all phases of the web development life cycle, with familiarity with the Agile methodology.
  • Highly motivated and positive Can Do attitude.
  • Ability to work simultaneously with multiple teams in different locales, different time zones, different levels of digital/online knowledge.
  • Team Player.
  • Flexible on working hours.
