We are looking for a professional Food & Beverage Controller (m/f) for a well known 5* European River Cruise Line.

The F&B Controller active communicates and reports directly to the Director Purchasing in Switzerland. The position is based primarily in a warehouse environment in Bremerhaven/D either Hofkirchen/D in Germany and involves also up to 20% travel.

This position is accountable for overseeing shipping and handling of ordered goods by major F&B vendors, to include ensuring completeness and quality of the products being shipped, reporting deviations from placed orders and creating and processing of accounting records.

Your responsibilities:

• Define Delivery Schedules in liaison with suppliers
• Maintain a clear and documented system on defined product specification and Master Data.
• Quantify monthly Demand Forecast using Supplier chain management system
• Generate Purchase Orders and manage adjustments (quantities and quality) in adherence to budget guidelines and Inventory in liaison with onboard Management • Ensure all deliveries are cross checked before shipping against Purchase orders and Purchase Requisitions
• Oversee the shipping especially their control systems, and identify potential risks
• •Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
• Evaluate ships feedback in Liaison with Purchasing & Culinary Department and implement new products and product improvements

You must have the ability to effectively challenge and influence the operations to ensure adequate cost control and purchasing practices, as well as the analyticals skills to analyse data, produce meaningful reports, within an environment of rapid change (change management).

You should have a „can-do“ attitude with tenacity to find out information as well as tactful, diplomatic approach and willing to do what is needed to complete the task.

You must be fluent in English and German, with user skills of purchase ordering or warehouse management system, advanced IT Skills and basic financial System knowledge.
