Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Assistant Treasurer, Capital Markets, the Manager, Capital Markets is responsible for supporting capital structure initiatives including analysis and recommendations, capital raising efforts, rating agency and banking analysis, and compliance with all financing documentation.  In addition, this position is responsible for supporting the negotiations of letters of credit, bank guarantees, surety bonds, and credit card merchant processing agreements.  Additional responsibilities include ensuring the capital markets process controls and discipline are aligned with Sarbanes-Oxley [SOX] requirements, and treasury systems and processes are as efficient and accurate as possible.  The Manager will interact closely with other areas within and outside of treasury to ensure a holistic approach is taken with all transactions.

Career Snapshot:

  • Participates in the structuring, negotiating, coordinating and implementing of financing agreements/transactions including public debt and equity transactions, bank financing, leases and export credit financing
  • Works with the Accounting group to ensure proper accounting treatment of financial transactions implemented by Treasury
  • Leads debt servicing and interest expense forecasts and accruals
  • Reviews capital markets schedules supporting SEC filings to ensure accuracy of numbers and statements made in the documents related to treasury activities
  • Reviews covenant compliance for all debt instruments
  • Monitors that capital markets process controls are aligned with SOX requirements, and treasury systems and processes are as automated and interconnected as possible
  • Participates/Supports in the negotiation of letters of credit (IRs, Charters, Beverage, etc) and parent company guarantees; including the negotiation of pricing and terms on bonds (FMC, CAA, PSA, IATA, Customs)
  • Participates/Supports in the negotiation of credit card merchant processing agreements
  • Assists in the preparation of board materials as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline required.  Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of treasury/accounting/finance roles with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience in capital markets and structured finance highly preferred
  • CCM/CTP/CPA preferred
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strong systems knowledge including excel spreadsheets, power point presentations, treasury workstations, Bloomberg
  • Exhibits a strong attention to detail
