Operation Manager

We are looking for a well-experienced Onboard Operation Manager for a 4* European River Cruise Line with international passengers on wonderful itineraries. Candidate must have several years of experience – ideally in the operations and hotel industry.

You will be based in at the headquarters of the company in Switzerland and will actively work to support the Operations Team. You will handle multiple administrative tasks concerning the daily operation, projects and initiatives - but will also work independent.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Establish and administer templates for all areas of the operation
• Maintain and update function sheets, menu cycles and recipes as per the content provided by your colleagues and superiors
• Collect and follow up on reports such as OBQ and SEQ
• Handle the Lost and Found administration
• Maintain and administer office related tools such as telephone directories, schedules and intranet
• Maintain, organize and update reports such as KPI's, entertainment enrichment orders and invoice control
• Arrange and coordinate meetings and events
• Record, transcribe and distribute meeting minutes
• Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations and other documents
• Design and maintain databases and intranet sources such as Microsoft SharePoint and MXP

You should have exceptional management, organisational and communication skills, combined with a demonstrable ability to present information in an effective & accessible way. Candidate should be a positive, open minded person – while being a team player, stress-resistant and have a professional appearance at all times.

You must also be a computer literate, with excellence skills in all MS Office programs, Mircrosoft SharePoint and MXP. Fluent English is required – any other European languages, ideally German, would be a big plus.
