One of two Executive Sous Chefs second in command of the overall Galley operation (approximately 100 employees), this position is responsible for operational management, product delivery, customer relations, staff development and management, cost control and strategic planning (a full Position Description can be accessed via the P&O Cruises Australia Careers Website).
Along with 3-5 years’ experience in an Executive Sous Chef position (or experience working through the ranks over several years to a sizeable role) within a professional high production environment (eg cruise ship, resort, entertainment venue) our ideal candidates will bring exceptional people management and leadership skills, extensive knowledge of quality food production techniques and public health standards, budget management experience, a high customer focus – including a track record of being positively measured against guest satisfaction, strong relationship building and interpersonal skills, great communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team working environment.
Contracts are for four months duration with two months leave in between assignments. The salary is competitive and flights, transfers and a uniform are all supplied by the company.

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
