Superintendent FSU, Operations and Maintenance

The Job:

  • Plan and manage the operations and maintenance of FSU on hull and cargo containment as well as manning requirements to ensure reliable operations and service excellence that are in compliance with the industry standards, business requirements and Charter Party provisions.
  • Budget & Operating Expenditure Develop the FSU's annual OPEX, CAPEX and General Administration budget to ensure the FSU is managed and operated cost effectively

Cargo Operation

  • Facilitate the cargo operator to ensure optimum performance and utilization (98% availability) of the floating assets while ensuring compliance with the regulations and Charter Party provisions.
  • FSU Repair & Maintenance Manage, coordinate and execute the request for repair and planned maintenance of hull and cargo containment system to ensure optimum availability, reliability and safety of performance that meet the business requirements, operational demands and within budget.
  • Carry out Ship Visits for FSU and LNG Fleet as required and covering for any FSU Senior Engineer who may be needed to join other operational LNG vessels as directed.
  • Repair Life Extension (RLE) Refurbishment and Upgrading Work Support the Manager, FSU to review and evaluate the technical issues and provide recommendations/engineering solutions on life extension, conversion and upgrading works on hull & equipment as well as cargo containment system and all other related works to ensure the activities achieve the desired reliability, safety, and cost effectiveness factors.
  • Tender and Procurement Perform technical and commercial evaluation during the tendering process and make recommendations as part of the tender committee based on the required specifications and technical compliance to ensure the items are of the right specifications for all maintenance, repair, RLE, refurbishment and upgrading projects.

Manning Requirements

  • Manage the manning requirements for the FSU to ensure a ready pool of sea personnel to smoothly operate and manage the floating systems.

People Development

  • Develop and motivate onboard crew to enhance competencies within the FSU team Qualification Certificate of Competency Class 1
  • At least 3 years' experience in shipboard management or exposure in fleet operations/ship management.
