Assistant Cruise Director

Job Description and Duties:

The ACD is the second in charge in the eintertainment department and assist the CD with the efficient running of the team of Cruise Staff, Youth Staff, Production Cast Members, Musicians, Stage/Sound/Light Technicians, Headline Entertainers and Enrichment Staff
Reports to the Cruise Director
Ensures that the entire entertainment department team adhere to the rules and regulations set by the cruise line including, but not limited to correct dress codes, performance in designated duties and punctuality
Responsible for the ongoing on-the-job training of all department staff ensuring that everyone is aware of the requirements of his/her duties and proficient in carrying these out
Makes announcements on the Public Address System
Monitors and evaluates guest comments and creates plans for improvements
Assists the Criuse Director in preparing and organizing the daytime activities, evening shows and special events
Should be fully conversant with all duties of the Cruise Director and be able to assume his/her position at any time

Minimum of three years experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, entertainment or recreational industry (shipboard experience preferred)

Master of Ceremony or/and professional entertainment experience

Strong management skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment

Excellent verbal and written command of the English language, knowledge of another language(s) is a plus

Superior customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution skills

Excellent communication, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills

Previous shipboard experience preferred !!
