Captain for 40m M/Y in the Med & Middle East (ARIH)

This is a great job for a suitably experienced Superyacht Captain for a privately operated 40m motor yacht with 7 crew. New build experience would be a distinct advantage as the owner has plans for a bigger yacht which you would be required to oversee during the build phase!

For this role, you will have the following attributes;
• Experience in leadership
• Proven experience in a captain role on yachts 40-45m
• Experience on a ‘new build’ or extensive refit experience
• Organised budgeting and accounting skills
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to train and mentor your crew to grow in their roles
• Fit and healthy, non-smoker
• Good work ethic
• Previous experience with Arabic owners and guests would be advantageous

The yacht will be based in the Middle East but will most likely spend summer in the Mediterranean each year.

Qualifications you’ll need:
Master 500GT qualifications as a minimum.
• Up-to-date Basic Safety Training and Security Awareness certificates
• ENG1 Seafarer medical fitness certificate
• Seaman’s Discharge Book

Salary & Conditions: US$10,000/month depending on experience and qualifications, 30 days leave, 1 return economy flight per annum
