Reefer Engineer (f/m)

COLUMBIA Shipmanagement Ltd is looking to recruit a Reefer Engineer (f/m) for a reputable passenger ship owner.  If you are interested in COLUMBIA and believe you can contribute to our success and our client`s success, you should at least fulfil the following job requirements:

• Engineer / Refrigeration Technician diploma / certification;
• Relevant work experience onboard a passenger ship;
• Good command of the English language;
• STCW Certification;

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Reefer Engineer is responsible to operate and maintain the reefer equipment, air conditioning and ventilation plant in a safe and efficient manner in accordance to the relevant Company`s standards and international regulations.  He/She will have to monitor the internal temperatures on board and carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs of the chiller and ventilation systems, refrigeration units, ice making machines, etc. as directed by the Chief Engineer.
