Photographer (Female), P&O Cruises Australia

We are now searching for experienced female event photographer’s to join us onboard in the coming months. Only female candidates will be considered due to berthing requirements.

Our Photographers are responsible for creating unique photo memories at sea in line with brand strategy.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Capturing memorable moments of our guests on gangways, in dining rooms, on the open deck and at any events on board where required.
• Setting up and striking camera and backdrop equipment
• Working in the Photo gallery achieving budgeted sales targets by actively selling photo packages/cameras to our guests.
• Ensuring gallery merchandise is up to standard and displayed neatly.
• Assisting in a printing/photo lab and upholding any required duties or tasks.
• Take accountability for correctly protecting issued equipment and company assets as directed in the policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will:

• Have 1+ year’s event photography experience or equivalent is desired.
• Have some experience in a print/photo lab and have experience using digital SLR cameras.
• Have some experience in a sales based role.
• Have the ability and willingness to deliver outstanding customer service to all our passengers.
• Be approachable, confident and charismatic when engaging with all guests.
• Thrive in a team working environment and be a team player.
• Be a reliable and respectable member of staff when working independently.
• Be motivated to excel in all aspects of job duties and responsibilities.
• Demonstrate a clean and professional appearance.

Along with event photography experience, print/photo lab experience and a strong track record in achieving sales targets, our ideal candidates will bring energy, charisma, great relationship building and interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, a high customer focus and the ability to thrive in a team working environment.

Contracts are for six months duration with two months leave in between assignments. The salary is competitive and flights, medical cover and uniforms are provided.

Please note employees of P&O Cruises Australia are required to be at least 21 years old, possess a current unrestricted passport (valid for at least a year) and international applicants eligible to apply for an Australian Maritime Crew Visa (MCV) and Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). All crew members are required to successfully clear an ENG1 Medical before commencing onboard.
