Electronic Engineer Jr - Entertainment (Cruise) - Worldwide - Permanent

A highly reputable cruise line is seeking an Electronics Engineer Jr.- Entertainment to join one of their beautiful cruise ships. You will be ensuring the best possible support to the Hotel Operation department regarding entertainment outlets to achieve the highest guest satisfaction possible. You will be working in partnership with the Entertainment Technicians on board supporting all entertainment acts and activities.

Responsibilities:

• Technically understand all of the entertainment systems on board
• Understand and have knowledge of the equipment used in shows, live events and more
• Be responsible for all the sound, light and rigging maintenance
• Ensure there are sufficient and relevant spare parts
• Ensure that all entertainment systems comply with the Shipboard Operational Safety, SEMS and SOX requirements
• Be very familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection policies

Requirements:

• Solid experience of bench level electronics and maintenance on board a vessel or in a similar position within the entertainment industry
• Knowledge and skills of Mac and Windows systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel and AMOS
• Knowledge and experience of lighting, sound or automation
• Excellent English written and spoken
• Vocational Degree or Technical Diploma in Electronic Engineering
• Position specific STCW training
