An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join our Entertainment team on board.
Our Production Manager is responsible for driving and maintaining all technical systems in support of a dynamic, engaging and memorable entertainment program. This includes lighting, audio, video, automation/rigging, scenery and pyrotechnics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversees management of all shows and rehearsals in all entertainment venues
- Working with the electro technical department to ensure consistent high quality of lighting, audio, video and pyrotechnic equipment
- Provides continuous training and coaching to all production staff
- Effectively manages all inventories of equipment and consumables to ensure that supplies are stocked and maintained
- Attend hotel technical and entertainment meetings
- Perform all tasks in the most efficient and cost effective way whilst maintaining the highest of standards
- Ensure safe operation of equipment and monitoring all safety and compliance regulations within the department
Our ideal candidate will bring:
- Extensive experience in a similar role
- Strong people management and leadership skills, with experience overseeing a diverse team – ideally within a cruise, hospitality or tourist attraction environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Sound communication skills, with a strong command of written and spoken English
- The ability to adapt and adjust to a variety of circumstances

Contracts are for six months duration with two months leave in between assignments. The salary is competitive and flights, medical cover and uniforms are provided.
Please note employees of P&O Cruises Australia are required to be at least 21 years old, possess a current unrestricted passport (valid for at least a year) and international applicants eligible to apply for an Australian Maritime Crew Visa (MCV) and Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). All crew members are required to successfully clear an ENG1 Medical before commencing onboard.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
