We are looking for a well-experienced and highly qualified Purchasing Manager (m/f/d) for a great 5* American Cruise Line with international passengers and great itineraries throughout the world. This position contributes to the Company's Mission, values, and strategic priorities by implementing service principles of sincere Hospitality and company Standards.

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for sourcing all Hotel related items, including Food, Beverage, Consumable, and Durables, as well as Freight services to the company ocean ships.

The main responsibility includes vendor and product identification, product specification together with the business, running tenders and RFQs, vendor negotiations, sourcing and contracting, plan the loading schedules and ports for the fleet, and establish and update purchasing policies and procedures.

The Purchasing Manager will be part of companies Purchasing team responsible for all sourcing across the companies river and ocean business, and work closely with culinary team, Onboard Operations team, as well as the ships inventory managers to ensure that all products needed for the onboard hotel operations are delivered on time and at the lowest cost possible.

The Purchasing Manager will report directly to the Director Onboard Purchasing and will be located in Switzerland - the position will also involve some travelling to/on the vessels, if needed.

You should love to work with an international Team and have extensive Purchasing and Procurement background, dealing with Port Authorities and all required paperwork

for the vessel and it´s needs is in your nature and comes easy for you. You should also have excellent communication skills, combined with exceptional written and oral communication skill in an international environment – you should be well organized, have a positive, open minded personality and be stress-resistant at all times.

We are looking for a “true” team player and not just a plain Purchasing Manager - combined with great administration and numbers skills!

Fluent English is required, any additional European language - ideally German, French, Italian and/or Spanish – would be a big plus. Also required are outstanding computer skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and MAPS.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the following languages is required: English, German
