2nd Engineer for 100m Shadow Vessel (SECM)

• Do you have III/2 Chief or 2nd Engineer Unlimited certificate?
• Do you have experience with Caterpillar generators & High Voltage safety?
• 3:3 Full Rotation! 182 days paid leave per year!

We are looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer to join this large world-travelling shadow vessel where you will enjoy the benefits of having 182 days of paid leave per year. This organisation likes to promote from within so there a career path available to you.

You will be a ‘hands on’ 2nd Engineer offering excellent support to the Chief Engineer. You will have excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills and can work with a 3rd and 4th Engineer and an ETO. Experience in working with Caterpillar generators would be a bonus, together with an all-round knowledge of the latest computer systems.

Qualifications & Desired Attributes:

• III/2 Chief or 2nd Engineer Unlimited Certificate
• Qualification for High Voltage safety
• Senior Officer with team managing capabilities
• Prefer Yard Experience (dry docking & refit)
• Class/Flag Surveys experience on Passenger Ships
• Passenger Safety Certificate
• STCW Basic Safety training certificates
• Security Awareness or PDSD certificate
• Previous experience +5 years in similar position on Passenger/General cargo ships.
• Valid passport, ENG1 & Seaman’s Discharge Book
• Fluent English (spoken and written)

Experience in the following:

• Main Engines MAK medium speed 4 stroke
• Caterpillar generators
• All Engine Room Systems, machinery and auxiliaries including deck systems, Hydraulics, HVAC/Refrigeration and Hotel Services
• Maintenance Software

Salary: €8000 per month, 182 paid days leave per year and 4 return economy flights.
