We are currently hiring Photo trainees to fill colleges starting in January and February 2018. 

Focus should be placed on candidates with sales, photography and hospitality experience.  Tech-savvy candidates would also be greatly appreciated as we are transitioning into the digital era with the Carnival Hub app and internet assist being part of our additional responsibilities on board.  If you have any pending candidates, kindly forward their details to me.

  • Portfolio link   OR   a PDF file with around 20 images of relevant portfolio

Employment conditions:

Position: Photograph Trainee

Ship Name: one of the luxury ships of the company fleet

Company Name : Prestige Cruises

Basic Monthly Salary:  1200 USD + 2,5 % of all renevue + additional bonus - guaranteed gratuitee - 1 800 USD per month

Duration of Contract:  6+-2 months on board / 2+-1 months off

Travel costs: covered from the company

Requirements for the candidates:

  • min 3 years experience in the sector on the position
  • full knowledge of Computer skills (Excel, MS Word, etc.)
  • While performing the essential functions of this job, all team members are required to stand; walk long distances on the ship; use hands to touch, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.  All vessel positions require repetitive motion of bending, climbing, going up and down stairs and lifting more than 25 pounds.  This job requires specific vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • All team members must be physically able to participate in emergency life saving procedures and drills. All vessel positions require full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. 
  • Work within different temperature changes—indoors to outdoors.
  • Able to pass basic safety course.
  • Must be able to manage one’s own personal time to ensure that he/she is getting adequate rest and social interactive time
  • Must be sharp, personable, responsive, witty, humorous, and socially capable, interested in performing as a photographer, and creatively minded
  • Passion for imaging and a team player with forward driven results in mind
  • Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven
  • Must be customer-focused and be comfortable in dealing with the general public on a daily basis
  • Must have a professional appearance and good hygiene
  • Respect for all co-workers and guests
  • Pride in your work by creating positive energy, excitement and fun
  • Able to work 7 days a week
  • Demonstrate positive behaviors; smiling, being polite and courteous
  • Able to develop a camaraderie with team members
  • Ability to live in close quarters, share limited space with other cabin-mates

  • valid Seaman & International passports
  • min 2 reference letter from previous employers
