3R Global are currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced and passionate Master to join one of the most modern and eco -friendly fleets in the world.
What you will be doing:
- As Master you will be acting as “Managing Director” on board.
- You will be looking after the management of the entire ship’s operations in a safe & efficient manner
- As Master you will be the chairman of the ship’s council
- You will execute delegation and control towards all area managers
- As Master you will be reviewing the Guest Service operations and budget achievement with the General Manager
- You will have intimate knowledge of the ship’s condition in all areas and departments
- As Master you will look after communication and reporting to all stakeholders such as shore based organisation, guests and crew
- You will be responsible for the ship’s seaworthiness in all respects ensuring the technical condition of the entire ship, safe stability and trim
- As Master you will ensure operational reliability of all relevant installations, units, instruments and systems as well as of all life-saving-and fire-fighting equipment and appliances
- You will take the ultimate decision about voyage plans and ensuring briefing of the navigational officers about the upcoming voyage
- As Master you will be in charge of compliance with flag state legislation, classification requirements and other applicable regulations.
- You will look after compliance with IMS and HESS Management Systems
- As Master you will ensure all the ship’s papers and documents are complete and valid.
- You will ensure all nautical and technical stores are complete
- As Master you will ensure settlement of clearance formalities with authorities
- You will keep log-books and other records, as requested by law and by the Company
- As Master you will ensure necessary equipment of the ship as bunkers, provisions and other stores are provided in an economical way and adequate quantity
- You will also grant hot work permits
What you’ll need:
- Cruise Vessel experience on at least a medium sized vessel (1500 passengers’ minimum).
- Completed studies or technical school in nautical sciences Pref. Diploma or Master degree
- Manoeuvring record
- Leadership & managerial skills
- Mediation skills
- Profound understanding of Bridge Resource Management
- In-depth knowledge about company’s IMS
- Stress resilience
- Presentation and media skills
