Trade Business Development Manager Costa Crociere is seeking a talented and energetic Trade Business Development Manager to join the Costa World Wide Channels Strategy & Commercial Operations Department. The chosen candidate will report to Head of Trade Development and work closely with all the Costa offices as well as with headquarter/central functions like Revenue Management, Commercial Planning, Marketing, Corporate Trade Marketing, Groups & MICE and IT. He/she will be responsible to sustain Trade development and Sales Force effectiveness, with specific focus on Trade performance monitoring and strategic projects implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Define the strategy and distribution of the sales force in the different markets.
  • Set strategic and tactical sales force targets. 
  • Coordinate with each market to define and implement service level and incentive & rewarding models.
  • Ensure an efficient and digital collection of information from the field.
  • Monitor KPIs about the efficiency of the Trade channel and share the analysis with Top Management.
  • Develop technological innovations related to the daily work of the Sales Force.
  • Support continuous improvement of the sales force digital tools.
  • Lead strategic projects business case definition, profitability, planning and implementation. 
  • Identify and develop trade partnerships.  

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering Management, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics (or other studies with significant numerical background) with minimum marks of 105
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, sense of business and commercial awareness
  • Enthusiastic approach and ability to work under pressure showing resilience to challenges
  • Successful experience in collaboration and stakeholder management at international level within a matrix organisation
  • Good communication and negotiation skills to mobilize teams around a project
  • Solid project management skills
  • Data driven and analytical approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Good understanding of complex systems and business models
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience to work with large databases. SQL & VBA would be a plus
  • Fluent English communication skills (imperative for the position). French, Spanish or German a plus.  

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
