JOB PURPOSE

To perform individually and as part of the Entertainment team to Socialize with and entertain Guests
throughout the cruise

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop and bring to life entertainment and entertainment program.
• To socialize with Guests at all times without any specific program.
• To make proposal for new activities.
• To work in collaboration with the Entertainment team under the supervision of Chief Animator.
• To collaborate with the Cruise Director’s department to create activities during the Cruise.
• To support the Chief Animator in all entertainment activities and games in lounges
• To prepare all material required for scheduled activities
• To be on station at the point of performance at least 15 minutes.
• To advertise by socializing and circulating with Guest all opportunities for Guest
• To dance with Guests
• To listen to requests and comments of Guests
• To stimulate and help to create a social atmosphere amongst the Guests.
• To participate in all meetings of the entertainment

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Fluent English with a good knowledge of spoken German. Any additional European language is
  considered an advantage (Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and French);
• Proven experience and expertise as an Animator or social person (male or female) in a similar working
  environment at sea or ashore
• Demonstrated ability to entertain, communicate and socialise with persons of all nationalities and all
  ages and backgrounds
• Wide knowledge of indoor & outdoor sports and games as applied to the Cruise Industry 
  (Bridge, Shuffleboard, Deck tennis and other tournament games)
• Good geographic knowledge of the Cruise Area operated by the ship for which position applies.
• Above average skills in tactful, diplomatic crisis and problem handling
• High degree of oral, written communication and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to work in a harmonious productive team environment.
• You must be physically able to participate in emergency life saving procedures and drills
• STCW certification is compulsory (basic fire fighting, personal survival techniques, elementary first aid,
  personal security and social responsibility);
• A recognised medical certification is required before starting to work on board.

VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any)

• Possess a valid passport and when possible a seaman book copy.
