Laundry Master (f/m) on a River cruise vessel

Responsibilities:

Correctly handling the laundry procedures for passenger- and crew laundry
Daily laundering (washing, ironing and/or pressing, folding) of all table linen, towels and bed linen
Maintaining control of external laundered linen and uniforms, including quality control and control of delivery notices
Correctly storing all linens and uniforms on board
Maintaining immaculate cleanness, tidiness, and hygiene in the ship’s laundry department
Assisting with taking stock of housekeeping inventory
Participating in the onboard training program
Cooperating with the daily distribution of programs and gift orders, as well as the realization of proper turn down service
Welcoming passengers and escorting them to their cabins during embarkation
Performing various preparatory duties prior to and at the end of the season
Co-responsible for the following duties:
Issuing, controlling and ensuring the return of company uniforms
Implementing and maintaining corporate standards in the housekeeping department
Issuing and controlling purchase orders for the laundry department in cooperation with the Senior Chambermaid
Correctly handling and storing all housekeeping supplies, detergents and equipment

Qualifications:

English spoken
Completed school
1 year of professional experience

Conditions of Employment:

Basic guarantee salary per month: 750 Euro
Guaranteed tip (400-500 EUR pm)
