Receptionist for Mystic Cruises

V. Hospitality are currently seeking an experienced Receptionist to join Mystic Cruises, a Portuguese cruise company dedicated to operating expeditionary cruise programs in the Antarctic and other remote locations. With a focus on offering unique experiences in an eco-friendly way, Mystic Cruises allows guests to explore the unspoiled landscapes of the frozen continent with all the comfort of a five-star cruise ship.

As Receptionist on-board, you will report directly to the Chief Purser, and be accountable for the overall Guest Experience within the Front of House department. This is a guest facing position, and will require candidates who are friendly and enjoy providing the highest standard of service at all times within a 5* environment. In addition to your Reception duties, you will also be assisting in the shop department, so an understanding of sales/retail is desirable.

In addition to the above duties, you will be responsible for the following:

• Managing lost and found
• Dealing with guest complaints
• Handling safety deposits
• Assisting with disembarkation
• Assisting with immigration paperwork when necessary

Candidates interested in the position should meet the following requirements

• Hospitality Degree or relevant work experience
• Min. 2 years’ within a 5* plus environment (Front desk position)
• Fluency in English & German
• Knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
