Electronic Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

• Fire detection system, Fire Doors –daily checks, maintenance and repair as necessary
• Bridge Equipment such as:
  
  • GMDSS/radios communication equipment, Radars, Ecdis, GPS, Gyro Compass, Auto Pilot, Rudder Angle Indicators, Anemometer, AIS, SSAS, Course recorder,
    Echo Sounder, Voyage Data Recorder etc.
• General Alarm System – Checks, maintenance, repairs
• Give support to broadcast technician with Public Address System, TV system - Checks, maintenance, repairs
• CCTV System - Checks, maintenance, repairs
• Paging System - Checks, maintenance, repairs of pagers
• Central Clock System – Check, synchronizing all over the ship, maintenance, repairs
• Assist to IT manager with PBX problems
• Bridge UPS and navigation UPS maintenance and repair
• Trap alarm system for all cold rooms
• Internal/external communication; UHF/VHF radios and repeater system
• Electronic support for Hotel equipment such as automatic Sliding doors, laundry and galley equipment etc
• Electronic equipment in Lifeboats & Tenders – checks, maintenance, repairs
• Ensure that the all-important bridge equipment has minimum amount of the spare part as stock for safe navigation
