Safety Officer - German speaking

• Ensure implementation of safety policies and practices including familiarisation of all persons on board with all relevant safety and emergency equipment, such as LSA, FFE
• Ensure operation, maintenance and service of all safety and emergency equipment, such as LSA, FFE
• Regularly inspect and monitor all ship areas
• Monitor crew for safe working practices
• Arrange emergency drills in accordance with Company Drill Plan
• Ensure maintenance of all shipboard installations and report any defects to the Master and HoED
• Report any Unsafe Conditions, Unsafe Acts, Accidents and/or Dangerous Occurrences to the Master with recommended corrective actions
• Ensure Ship Safety and Environmental Protection Committee meetings take place according to Company policy and submit minutes to the Company

Act as:

• Head of Ship Safety and Environmental Protection Committee meetings
• Role model for leadership and exemplary personal conduct to all crew

Officer MUST be in possession of Master's License

Officer MUST have the Crowd & Crisis Management course certificate 

German language skills is required
