Sommelier

EMPLOYER : ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LINE / CELEBRITY CRUISE LINE

The Sommelier provides wine service in the restaurant, suggests wine pairing for the guests and maintains sales targets.

Minimum requirements

Age : at least 21 years old
Three years previous experience on the land/ or cruise ship experience for simmilar position.
Previous experience in selling wine, knowledge of varieties and categories of wine, wine history.
Language skills: English – advance level – MANDATORY

Contract details
Contract: 6 months
Vacation: 2 months between contracts
Salary: 1294 USD/month ( minimum monthly guaranteed salary), Average income of a sommelier is $3.000, it is all depending of knowledge and salesman skills. Some of the top sommeliers in specialty restaurants they reach easily $5.000
Facilities on board : free of charge offered by the Company ( accommodation, meals, medical services )
Accommodation : shared cabin of two
Work schedule : 7 days / week , 8-10 hours /day ( shifts )
Job Cruise FEE : NO FEE for recruitment/ embarkation process
Embarkation costs : depending on ship/ itinerary ( medical files, required visas, flight ticket )
