Line Manager: Ship's Services Engineer

Responsibilities

The Plumber is to assist the Ships Services Engineer in the completion of his day to day activities including but not limited to:

• Ability to test Recreational Water Facilities (RWF) including, but not limited to; swimming pools, Jacuzzis, and all other water to the standard USPH levels
• To ensure working knowledge of USPH RWF regulations is executed as required
• Monitoring and organisation of chemical usage
• RWF maintenance in compliance with USPH including, but not limited to; cleaning, sanitisation of filters and filter housing
• Basic knowledge in RWF parameter record keeping
• Working knowledge of automatic dosing systems and required adjustments
• Undertaking tasks utilising safe systems of work
• Maintenance and repairs of vacuum system and equipment
• Maintenance of passengers and crew laundry
• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all plumbing in hotel and crew areas
• Other departmental and reasonable tasks as directed
• Participates in emergency response, safety drills, training & development as directed
