Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementation of "USPH approved" operation, maintenance and cleaning procedures in the Galley under their responsibility in order to ensure good operation, appearance and condition of the areas and galley equipment.
  • Prepares requisitions for all supplies needed for dishwashing. Stores, distributes and controls all supplies for each dishwashing operation.  Manages waste removal, garbage and recycling.  
  • Reports any malfunctioning equipment or furnishings in need of repair or refurbishing to the Executive Chef
  • Responsible for the proper racking, pre-rinsing, unracking, storage and delivery of all dishes, glasses and silverware at each dishwashing operation and all equipment necessary to accomplish this function.
  • Oversees the distribution of china and silverware to all kitchen outlets in a timely manner and check if all plates are properly washed and silverware polished.
  • Performs and manages other duties as assigned.
  • MUST HAVE A VALID CURRENT STCW CERTIFICATE TO APPLY

Requirements:

  • STCW 4 Part Basic Training
  • Senior High School Graduate
  • PSCRB Certificate
  • Valid Seafarers Medical
  • Must pass a security background check
  • Latest experience must be within the past 2 years

Travel to the yachts and extended stay up to 10 months on board is required. Regularly required to sit and stand. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision. Some stress may occur, especially during traveling periods and during periods of daily activities.
