Company Description:

Our Hiring Partner Services recruit the highest calibre candidates for the Guest Relations Department of several major cruise lines.
At this time we are reviewing candidates for a small American Cruise Line that operates two day cruises from the USA. Due to the ongoing situation with Covid the exact start date is to be determined and we are only screening candidates who have previous ship expereince and are in possesion of valid SCTW certificates and able to pass a full medical, including Covid screening. It is also requested by the cruise line that a flu vaccination be obtained by all crew members prior to joining.

Job Description:

The role of a Documentation Purser allows you to utilize your exemplary problem resolution skills, keen listening skills, strong communication and organizational skills, and genuine social skills. Successfully resolve challenges and concerns by taking initiative and proactively identi-fying solutions and following-up in a timely manner.

Primary duties include:

• Plays a key role in being the first impression for the brand and our guests
• Ensures the efficient clearance of the ship through Customs and Immigration by diplomatically encouraging a productive relationship with the relevant officials and accurate paperwork
• Supervises the 90-Day US CBP Inspection of all Crew, with the assistance of the HR
  Manager, T&D Manager, Crew Relations Specialist, Crew Payroll Manager and 2nd Purser
  Payroll.

Minimum Requirements:

• One or two years previous ship experience in a similar roleSolid communication, problem solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
• Solid communication, problem solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate basic office equipment, including telephones, computers and copy machines (Word, Excel)
• Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests and officials
• Have a valid passport and C1D visa
• Have valid STCW certificates
