Technical Stores Manager (Cruise) – Worldwide
Navis Consulting are currently looking for a Technical Stores Manager to join our client’s fleet of Cruise Vessels on a permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to effectively manage the full technical stores operation, maintaining the ships inventory system for both the Technical and Deck Departments, whilst ensuring the ships stock is held as per inventory management policy.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day to day management of the Technical Stores team, providing an efficient and effective stores service to the Technical and Deck departments.
• Work closely with the Chief Engineer, Deputy Captain, and Maintenance Managers to maintain and monitor the respective stores budget.
• Raise requisitions for goods and services and liaise with supply chain and logistics departments to ensure swift delivery of orders.
• Ensure that all stock is kept securely and stored correctly to prevent damage or injury.
• Coordinate and oversee all Technical and Deck landings and loadings

• Has experience of managing a team
• Leads the team by empowering others and encouraging collaborative working
• Creates a positive working environment building a culture of openness and trust
• Socially confident and adopts a professional manner, exhibiting excellent social skills in even the most formal situations
• Calm under pressure, taking a logical approach to problem solving and involving and communicating to relevant stakeholders throughout
• Proactively works to finds solutions to problems that arise
