River cruise ship First Captain

Uniworld owns and operates a fleet of thirteen intimate, boutique river cruise ships on the European waterways which cater exclusively to English-speaking clients.
To support our Nautical Team we are looking for an experienced and dedicated professional in the role of:

First Captain

Your responsibilities will include

• Navigating the ship according to guidelines and safety regulations of the company
• Responsibility for the safety of all passengers and crew on board
• Maintenance of our ships during the season and in wintertime
• Professional Management of Nautical Team
• Communication on board with the Hotel manager and Cruise manager

You

• Have experience in a similar role on Rhine-Main-Danube
• Have experience with Z-Drive systems (is not a must)
• Have at least a license for the Rhine until Mainz and/or the Danube
• Are innovative, flexible and proactive leader and team player
• Have the ability to communicate and conduct business fluently in German and/or English
• Have good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• You are willing to learn and grow in your role
