KITCHEN ORDER TAKER - LARGE PRIVATE ESTATE - MIDDLE EAST

Start Date: May/June 2022

Job Summary:

The positions of Kitchen Order Taker require liaising with the Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine on all operational needs for the Catering department and ensuring that all Service, Food preparation and production is carried out to the highest standard for the Family and guest total satisfaction, and compliance with ISO & HACCP regulations.

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a 5-star property, Private Residence or Stated Restaurant environments.
  • Should possess strong interpersonal skills and basic written and spoken English. Have an ability to make decisions at the appropriate time and fully aware of the happenings around.
  • Clean driving license – Non-Smoker preferred.
  • English (spoken & written), Arabic (basic Knowledge is a plus)

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Positive attitude and good communication skills, with excellent grooming standards, clean, pleasant.
  • Provides a courteous, professional, efficient, flexible and personalized service at all time, with commitment to delivering a high level of service.
  • Flexibility to respond to a variety of different work situations.
  • Fully aware of the All service and menu, answers questions on menu selections.
  • Performs all owner duties with the sense of priority and dedication, serving in a calm, discrete and courteous manner, respecting timing standards.
  • Ensure a clean dining area, reception rooms, maintaining cleanliness of work.
  • Takes notes of all the information, updates and instruction and giving proper handover to the Supervisor on Duty.
  • Completes hand over of daily events.
  • Receives & Distributes orders and information to all kitchens during the service.
  • Maintains office area needs.
  • Consolidates orders for delivery.
  • Has interactive training with the culinary team.
  • Understands and strictly adheres to the Rules & Regulations of the Company and the policy on HACCP, Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  • Flexibility to respond to a variety of different work situations and be flexible as always contactable as a lot of driving requests will be last minute.
  • Work closely with the Order taker and Food Safety to insure safe and secure delivery and transportation of items for the culinary department.
  • Always maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Report for duty on time and in the correct uniform.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) at all times.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
