One of our leading Maritime clients are currently looking for an experienced Marine Project Engineer to join their team, to be working from the head office in Netherlands. This client is a well-established company currently employing an excess of 1500 crew and staff worldwide, responsible for a diverse fleet of over 100 vessels in total.

Your main duty is to ensure the compliance within the client's Integrated Management Systems (SLIMS) as well as the HSEQ standards. Your role will involve the following: working on policies, as well as executing both internal and external auditing. You will also concentrate on drafting of reports as well as procedures. In the meantime, between your various duties, you may also be notified as incident investigations may need to be performed. As a HSEQ Manager you will report to the Group HSEQ Manager.


As our client operates globally, there will be travel involved. The position is primarily based in Netherlands.


Duties:
* You will manage the SLIMS system as well as ensure the roll-out internationally.
* You will conduct the introduction and familiarisation of SLIMS and SHEQ, as well as Shore training.
* You will provide the HSEQ direction for the Management Board.
* You will actively keep an eye out for potential improvements.
* You will be actively involved in incident investigations.
* You will promote safe practices via group campaigns and incentives.
* You will draft periodical reports.
* You will coordinate and communicate all HSEQ matters through the safety and toolbox meetings, as well as safety alerts.
* You will act as DPA.
* You will conduct internal audits as well as monitor the timely close-out of any related actions.


Qualifications:
* Minimum Bachelor's degree.
* Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience in SHEQ.
* Communicative with relevant international standards in the maritime industry, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISM, ISPS, MLC and OVMSA.
* Fluent English speaking & writing skills.
* Team player who understands the importance of celebration of success.
* Pro-active approach.
* Enthusiastic about working with people all over the world.
