As Market Research Analyst, you will work within the Market Research Team to oversee the activities, analysis, and reporting of consumer and market research projects for Royal Caribbean International. Research projects generally focus on competitive and consumer insights and trends for use in developing marketing strategies and product enhancements/offerings, brand equity, advertising effectiveness, and guest and trade satisfaction.
Career Snapshot:
- Proactively identify business challenges/ opportunities and work closely with Research Manager to develop research objectives, select methodologies, plan research projects, write and program questionnaires, and complete analysis and reporting.
- Conducts quantitative, qualitative and secondary research studies as required to meet varying needs of stakeholders in the business units.
- Analyze, interpret and synthesize learnings from research and secondary sources, drawing conclusions that are actionable, impactful, and accessible for stakeholders.
- Monitor sample requests, day to day support, analysis and scheduling of reporting results from on-going tracking studies such as the advertising tracking study, internal omnibus and guest satisfaction programs.
- Evaluate, analyze and provide summary reporting of external consumer, industry and competitive landscape for the use of the marketing, sales and hotel operations teams.
- Work with Research Manager to provide actionable recommendations on how to maximize opportunities/ investments based on research findings.
- Leverage existing data to answer key business questions and proactively identify the need for additional research based on business needs.
- Clearly express ideas, direction, methodology, results and recommendations orally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrations to peers and management both within and outside of the marketing organization.
- Develop discussion guides and conduct focus group research onboard as well as online focus groups or bulletin boards with guests to meet varying needs of the business units.
Requirements:
- Three or more years of extensive experience in marketing research working on the supplier or client side
- Bachelors Degree required
- Understands a range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques available to address business needs.
- Very strong problem definition and solution skills
- Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Proven data gathering and analytical skills as well as the ability to synthesize findings from disparate data sources
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word; Survey software and Video editing tools a plus
- Love of both data analysis and personal interaction
- Effective presentation and communication skills and strong ability to influence business decisions based on research findings
