Position Summary:

The Analyst assists the International Tax Director and AVP of Global Tax in all tax matters relating to the Company's global operations including, but not limited to: tax research, tax planning, tax litigation, tax compliance, and tax audit functions. Career snapshot:

• Provides full and comprehensive tax research, planning, and advisory services to internal management team members responsible for the Company's operations globally, including shared service centers, proposed corporate mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, joint ventures, corporate formations, corporate liquidations, as well as internal restructurings of operations in order to achieve an optimally tax efficient structure.
• Reviews global tax compliance including income tax, VAT, turnover taxes
• Prepares and reviews global tax reconciliations
• Prepares and reviews tax forecasts/plans and in variance analysis for the foreign offices
• Prepares and reviews global FAS 109 and FIN 48 process
• Manages global tax audits and tax litigation
• Manages the implementation of all tax aspects of local ERP systems.
• Identifies and implements best tax practices across the company.
• Communicates and interacts with management team members, other internal departments and external tax advisors globally.

Required:

A BS/BA degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or economics; Master's degree in taxation, LLM in taxation or other advanced degree in taxation, and/or CPA required Minimum four years of corporate and/or international tax experience with a Big 4 or regional CPA firm, law firm, and/or a large multinational company.

Strong research, analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills.

Strong PC skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, on-line research tools, etc.

Preferences:

Demonstrated ability to write reports and business correspondence. Cruise industry experience a plus. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Works exceptionally well with others in a high-energy and fast-paced environment.
