POSITION SUMMARY / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• To ensure the ultimate guest experience onboard OCI vessels by aiding effective communication of information through all departments;
• Providing Concierge service to all guests onboard, dealing with all special requests/needs as required within this market segment
• Act as Deputy Front Office Manager and ensure Front Office staff provide standards of service consistent with OCI expectations;
• Ensure appropriate follow up on guest issues addressed to the Front Desk, passing on short falls to the Executive Concierge to address as appropriate;
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must have fulfilled equivalent position on a medium+ sized ship or luxury hotel
• Understanding of the highest level of service;
• Well organized; a multi-tasker
• Used to dealing with complaint handling
• Used to dealing with special requests and used to achieving results
• Great at customer service and building positive relations with guests and colleagues
• Used to dealing with Lost Luggage and medical disembarkations etc
• Upgrades and suite allocations etc.
• Strong leadership skills and practice ‘leadership by example;
QUALIFICATIONS
• Worked in a luxury environment as Reception Manager or Guest Relations Manager or similar for at least 2 years.
• Advanced level of English verbal and writing skills, including the proper use of English grammar is required.
• Intermediate verbal and writing skills in at least 2 of the following 5 preferred languages French, German, Portuguese, Spanish and/or Italian
• Excellent administrative skills; computer literate – Word/excel/Fidelio/MXP/NVS and similar
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalency in Hotel Management or a related field is required.
