Position Summary
This team ensures the smooth and efficient operation and control of the butcher shop. Responsibilities include handling, cutting and preparing all items such as: meat (beef, lamb, pork, etc.), poultry, seafood, and fish. The team also has to adhere to USPH standards and ensure their daily work produce minimum waste. To join this key part of our culinary operation, previous experience in a similar role is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the thawing, butchering, and preparation of all the meats and poultry to be used in the daily menu
- Observe proper sanitation and personal hygiene in accordance with applicable standards.
- Work on the kitchen production and will be directly involved in the quality, consistency and quantities of the product.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Culinary degree or culinary training certificate
- 5-6 years of Butchery experience in an upscale cruise ship, hotel, resort, or convention banqueting facility
- Good command of English (oral and written)
- Must have a valid passport
