Your responsibilities

• Hosting:

  • Host and contact person for our guests
  • Competent guest advice and service
  • Layout and printing of standardised daily programmes
  • Providing tourist information in the form of presentations
  • Concierge service

   

  Excursions:

  • Providing advice on destinations and excursions on land in the form of presentations
  • Accepting bookings for excursions and forwarding them to local partners after reviewing their viability in accordance with specifications
  • Accompanying and supervising excursions
  • Checking factual correctness of invoices

   

  Entertainment:

  • Organising and delivering an entertaining daytime and evening programme for guests in cooperation with the Hotel Manager and Entertainment Host
  • Responsible for announcements on board: general information, route information etc.

   

  Gift Shop:

  • Managing the on-board shop, advising customers and selling the merchandise available, stocktaking at the end of each month

   

  General:

  • Responsible for and assuring the smooth running of all actions during turnaround day
  • Expanding the work area handbook as per guidelines and in cooperation with the shipping line; optimisation and further development of work processes and standards

Your profile

• Successful completion of a course of vocational training or study
• Experience as a tour guide
• Experience onboard a ship
• Experience as an animateur and entertainer desirable
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent knowledge of German and English; additional languages are welcome
• Talent for organisation, good hosting skills
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of cruise area
