AC Engineer

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Nationally recognized technical qualification (as Refrigeration Technician/ Engineer)
2. Excellent verbal and written command of the English language
3. Strong management skills including but not limited to:

• Communication
• Organisation and planning
• Decision-making
• Problem-solving

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and its documentation related to HVAC equipment
•  Lead team of engine department crew working with HVAC equipment
•  Maintenance and repair of the following
•  Heating systems
• Ventilation systems
• Air-conditioning systems
• Main refrigeration plants
• Ensure appropriate Permits to Work are issued and followed
• Report to HoHTD/ HoED:
• Accidents and Incidents, Near Misses, Unsafe Conditions and Unsafe Acts
• Non-conformities or defects when discovered
• Maintenance requirements and progress updates
• Work and rest hour breaches / records
• Compliance with safe working practices
• Speaking up when unsafe practices or conditions are identified
• Compliance with BSM’s SMS and international standards and regulations
