Opportunity for an experienced L&D Facilitator to join Australia’s most iconic cruise line!

As our Learning & Development (“L&D”) Facilitator, you will be responsible for effectively delivering all onboard L&D programs, creating an optimal learning experience for all teammates in support of fostering an exceptional guest experience and maritime regulation compliance. In addition, this position takes responsibility for L&D administration, including maintaining up to date training records.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • serve as a learning resource and provide learning guidance to all levels onboard, including supporting leaders who deliver training to develop and enhance their facilitation skills.
  • effectively implement and manage all HR/L&D owned learning programs and initiatives through advanced planning, onboard communication, facilitation, and ongoing administration.
  • conduct courses as described in facilitator’s guide to ensure the creation of a consistent learning experience; provide constructive feedback to shoreside L&D to assist in course enhancement.
  • adapt learning activities to best fit with the audience and their learning needs, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • act as the primary administrator of the onboard Learning Management System(s), ensuring thorough training, record keeping and accurate and prompt reporting.
  • monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and other training program requirements.
  • maintain and manage training equipment, facilities, and materials.
  • support HR onboard; maintain an awareness and focus on teammates’ well-being.
  • comply with fleet regulations and other applicable internal, external, and governmental regulations always.

We seek applications from people with experience in a high-volume training delivery position, preferably from within a sizeable multicultural hospitality company (cruise ship experience is highly desired). Critical to success will be an energetic and engaging communication style, strong relationship building and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a multicultural team environment.

Contracts are typically for four months duration with two months’ leave in between assignments. Flights, transfers, accommodation, main meals and uniforms are all supplied by the company in addition to the monthly salary.
