AC Fitter for Cruise Vessel

• Assist with:
  • Maintenance and repair of the following:
• Heating systems
• Ventilation systems
• Air-conditioning systems
• Main refrigeration plants
  • Monitoring ship’s condition with regard to HVAC equipment
  • Maintenance of all relevant records (including refrigerant logs)
  • Inventory and spare parts and consumables requisitions (including refrigerant gases)
• Compliance with Permits to Work that are in force
• Report to ACE:
  • Accidents and Incidents, Near Misses, Unsafe Conditions and Unsafe Acts
  • Non-conformities or defects if/when discovered
  • Maintenance requirements and progress updates
  • Work and rest hour breaches / records
• Compliance with safe working practices
• Speaking up if/when unsafe practices or conditions are identified
• Compliance with BSM’s SMS and international standards and regulations Other duties and responsibilities:

SHOULD KNOW :

They need to be able to work and maintain on all refrigeration related equipment: Small fridges, Galley fridges, ice machines and identify related mechanical or electrical issues with them.
Also, they should know how to properly maintain all related equipment on HVAC units and fan rooms, especially fan coils.
They should have experience in dealing and helping with the repairs of the A/C chillers as well as the provision refrigerators compressors.
They should be familiar with the refrigeration cycle.
