Head Mixologist required for Luxury Cruise Line!

We are looking for a Head Mixologist to join Windstar Cruises!

We are currently looking to interview and process candidates for our approved candidate talent pool - aiming to get people travel ready for when future vacancies arise. 

Head Mixologist Responsibilities:

• Works directly with the bar staff using a hands-on approach by working behind the bar together with the Mixologists during busy hours, as well as providing coverage during their meal hours and whenever necessary.
• Conducts all the necessary training, especially “on the job training”,to develop each individual to reach the required level of service standards.
• Responsible for ensuring that company standards of service for beverage and wine are being followed and that the standard drink recipes, including proper garnishes, are adhered to.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Head Bartender or Bartender in a large cruise ship or a combination of ship and large hotel/bar experience in these positions is required.
• Advanced level of supervisory knowledge in running a shift with multiple bars and lounges with different themes and menus is required.
• Knowledge of international cocktails, spirits, and ability to talk about them.
• Proof of continuing education in wine and other beverage courses and seminars from a recognized educational institution is preferred.
• Certification from World Class Academy or Wine and Spirit Education Trust WSET® Level 1 Award in Spirits (QCF) or equivalent is required.

Rotation: 9 months on, 2 months off
Salary: Paid per month worked in $ USD
